Our Canadian owned, manufacturing/distribution client is looking for a Controller to join their head office in Mississauga. This opportunity is best suited for a hands-on Controller, who is committed to helping the company grow. You will get the chance to work closely with the owner to develop and implement processes and procedures and have 2 direct reports.
Please note: this position requires you to be located in Ontario, as this is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations â AP, AR and GL
Reconcile financial accounts - bank statements, credit cards and company transactions
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports: Actuals vs. budget with initial variance and year end projection analysis including balance sheets and cash flow
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources and support business growth
Work cross-functionally to develop financial strategies, assess risks, and make informed business decisions
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and internal controls
Manage all payment and acceptance methods: Cheques, e-transfers, direct deposits
Prepare bank deposits.
Qualifications:
Must have CPA
5+ years accounting experience â a strong preference for those from an entrepreneurial type setting
Experience managing a team and good communication
Someone who has worked with banks, specifically in a reporting capacity
