Location and Schedule

On site at Denver International Airport (parking is provided)

Shifts: Normal scheduling would be, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. There will be required varied schedules due to training and weather requirements.

Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges occur, weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)

Participates in mandatory snow removal duties

Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to change

The Agency Trainer position is essential to strengthen and maintain the safety culture, and training for Airport Maintenance. In this critical position you will be instructing and presenting agency specific training programs including classroom, on-line and on-the-job training for the departments. In this role, you will be key in the training of new hires, current leaders, and help support some equipment training as needed.

In this position, you can expect to:

Deliver agency specific training programs including classroom, online and on-the-job training, determine appropriate learning objectives and methodology to be used, develop course curriculums, and review course content with managers and subject matter experts

Evaluate student progress using written examinations and/or practical examinations and adjusts teaching approaches to accommodate students' needs

Consult with staff members and managers to determine if training programs are meeting the needs of the agency

Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers for new asset training that contains a mix of classroom and hands-on training

Develop online training content and manages Workday lesson enrollments through assignments, communication, due dates, and assisting other agency divisions as needed

Update training materials and methods to keep current with new techniques and evaluate and modify training programs as needed

Prepare reports regarding the effectiveness of training and prepares and maintains records on student progress

Perform Learning Management System (LMS) administrative duties as required

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Training Program Manager

Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365

Strong communication skills

2 years of experience developing training material and proving hands on training

Experience with heavy equipment and snow removal

Commercial Driver’s License requirement

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree

Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience assisting with educational or training duties and responsibilities in a structured setting

Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education

License/Certifications: Requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL "A") with appropriate endorsements at the time of application
