Behavioral Health PsyD or PhD

Location: Denver Colorado

Pay rate: $45.15 - $80.79

Shift: Monday through Friday

Hours: Days

At Uptown Community Health Center we improve the health of our community and provide care that respects the dignity of each person, especially those that are underserved. We teach tomorrow's physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellent medical care with compassion and kindness.

Our Integrated Behavioral Health Providers work closely with the health center's interdisciplinary team to assess and provide behavioral health treatment in our Obstetrics and Gynecological setting.

In this role your responsibilities include:

Competence with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and treatment planning based on these conditions.

Comfort with using clinical expertise in an independent manner.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of people. Proven ability to work within and coordinate a care team comprised of internal team members and community-based members.

Conduct initial intake visit including detailed behavioral health and substance use history, biopsychosocial history and assessment.

Appropriately assess suicide risk.

Passion for providing mental health treatment to patients and assuring all patients receive whole person care.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required

Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology ((PsyD or PhD)

Preferred:

*Specific experience in behavioral medicine/health psychology, with expertise working in family medicine with emphasis in obstetrics and gynecological care, including psychological assessment, cognitive-behavior therapy, relaxation techniques, systematic desensitization therapy, behavioral preparation for procedures and pain management.

*Two (2) years experience in integrated healthcare, primary care or obstetrics.

*Experience with Epic application and heath record.

* Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.

*Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy and fluency in both languages.
