Job Summary

The Pipeline Valve Technician performs maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves, electric/pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance on a variety of Gate, Plug, Ball valves including M&J, WKM, Grove, Cameron in the field or in shop.

Perform complete overhaul and testing actuators including EIM, Limitorque, Bettis, Shafer.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.

Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Prior valve experience and electrical actuation experience (low and high voltage)

Must be mechanically inclined.

Ability to use Microsoft word, excel and outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company.

Demonstrate the ability to bend and fit tubing.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and travel overnight as required.

Travel is 50%-60% of job requirement.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Lifting of valve or actuator parts up to 50 lbs.

Climbing stairs and ladders.

Carrying equipment up and down flights of stairs.

Continually required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb.

Continually required to use hands and fingers and reach with arms.

Maybe exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
