Tax Accountant

· Develop strategic tax planning as well as conduct regular tax compliance audit.

· Prepare and cascade information memorandum for various business units & facilitate in dealing with all tax aspect of the business.

· Supervise and coordinate with Finance Department for compliance with outstanding Letter of Authority/Tax Verification Notice issued by BIR; coordinate directly with BIR Revenue Officers for concerns on outstanding Letter of Authority/Tax Verification Notice issued.

· Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual schedules and tax returns (except income tax returns) for approval and signature of Tax/Legal Counsel.

· Review quarterly & annual income tax returns and corresponding attachments prepared by Finance Department prior approval & signature of Tax/Legal Counsel.

· Coordinate and monitor renewal of business licenses / permits of all refilling plants, LPG terminals and other business establishments belonging to companies of the group.

· Answer tax queries of other business units.

· Handle tax vetting of suppliers for accreditation purposes.

· Validate the taxes applicable to customers of the group during customer account creation.

· Monitoring of VAT zero-rating certificates or other proof of fiscal incentives enjoyed by BOI or PEZA-registered customers of the group.

· Other tasks that may be assigned by the Tax/Legal Counsel or by the Chief Financial Officer.

· Focal for Tax Department on the implementation of ERP. Support in submission of requirements and scheduling for the application of Computerized Accounting System and scheduling of presentation with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

· Upon the implementation of ERP, will be responsible for all tax filing.

· Participate in corporate projects requiring due diligence.

· Review/validation and completion of all contracts for Tax & Legal Counsel related to Tax.

· Official custodian of all Tax documents, Corporate and Contracts.
