Job Description
An Assembler Level II / III, at the direction of the Production Supervisor, is responsible for bench assembly operation to produce (sub)assemblies for our Sample Preparation Product Line. Assemble mechanical parts, pieces, and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment. Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product (esthetics). This is a full-time position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Read, comprehend, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and follow established procedures to accurately assemble products
Assemble various assemblies
Crimp and cap wire
Clean and inspect parts
Mechanical type assembly using hand and power tools
Work with various sized materials from large parts to small intricate parts
Glue and seal using Loctite, epoxy, and other components
Perform quality work checks and testing/inspecting to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
Keep accurate records/logs etc.
Maintain equipment and a clean and safe work environment (5S)
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Handling of ESD-sensitive materials and equipment
Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor
Setup and use test equipment to record, compile, and evaluate data
Actively participate in a continuous improvement environment.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of assembly experience (Assembler II) or >4 years of assembly experience (Assembler III)
Other Requirements:
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints for complex and standard product assembly
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given
Ability to work well with others and a willingness to switch tasks frequently
Good understanding of quality controls
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
