As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Favarh, you'll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our participants.

This is a critical role to assist our clients with getting ready for their day, assisting with personal care and transportation to their daily destination. Favarh partners with RIDESHARE. We have new vans that are utilized for the agency's transportation, which will be part of your role daily. Helping to put our clients in a great mindset and off for their day, while assisting our existing staff to make sure we are all on time.

In the event you are interested in additional hours, we have them as well. This can be discussed in your interview. Depending on the location and shift it could involve implementing fun and creative activities, tailoring to the unique needs of each individual and helping them reach their personal best every day. Your impact will extend beyond the home environment as you guide and support them in their jobs and foster their engagement in the community.

We offer $20.25 per hour

Hours:

We need two people to join our team to provide additional support to our Canton Team!

Monday- Friday 6:00am-9:30am, 17 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED

Must Qualify to a driver for Ride-Share: we partner with for transportation, in event transport is necessary

Must be at least 21 years old

Clean driving history within last 5 years (no accidents, suspensions, moving violations)

Must have an valid, clean, non-restricted Connecticut Driver's License with a minimum 3 years possession (in U.S.)

PMT certification, CPR/First aid preferred (will train)

AED Certified within 6 months of hire required (will train)

Medical Certification Card preferred upon hire, will train and provide study time (is required to obtain to retain employment)

Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Required to stand, walk, and sit

Computer aptitude for use of "Therap" (application used in daily work and will train)

PAID TRAINING: will obtain CPR/PMT and Medical Certification Card (if don't have or has expired)
