Product Support Engineer/SDET

Job Description

Quardev is seeking a Product Support Engineer, with Software Development in Test (SDET) ability, to support a growing community of digital rights management platform end-users and internal customers. This is a highly technical and high visibility role with a focus on exemplary customer service and an opportunity to grow your technical skills in programming and DRM product familiarity. The technical environment includes Typescript, Python, Java, SQL, Database ETL Packaging, Google Cloud, Technical Support ticketing and related resolution, and customer communication tools used to communicate with customers and resolve issues via email. IMPORTANT - This position is not eligible for Corp-to-Corp (C2C) or Visa (H1b) transfer or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed SLA response time expectations (3 days) for all partner communication via email (there is no live support at this time)

Prepare and file bugs reported by external partners to triage and resolve

Provide and prepare escalation for high-priority or urgent issues, reported by external partners, to the Partner Engineering team.

Maintain and process device integration requests per established and documented processes.

Demonstrate sound coding ability and technical ability using SQL, Typescript, Java, and Python

Monitor support forums and respond to reported issues

Requirements

Undergraduate degree and 4+ years of related experience

A minimum of 2+ years of technical support experience (customer service, technical troubleshooting

A minimum of 3+ years of experience writing SQL code and queries

General understanding of video streaming over the Internet (HTTP, DASH, HTML5, HLS)

Demonstrated ability to technically troubleshoot media applications on desktop browsers and mobile devices (Apple, Android)

Familiarity with Linux, Android, and iOS platforms

Understanding of audio and video codecs (H264, HEVC, AAC)

Specific Tools or Applications experience (Google Apps like Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Gmail; Salesforce CRM; etc.)

The expected compensation for this role is in the $80K to $100K-YR, paid hourly, depending on experience, plus eligible benefits.

This position is anticipated to be hybrid-remote with onsite days located in the Bothell-WA area, some flexibility is expected with regard to onsite schedule requirements.
