Job Description

The duties of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. Writing repair orders accurately preparing accurate estimates and relaying the information to the customer in a timely fashion. Answering inbound calls in a timely manner and keeping the customer updated on the status of their vehicle. Maintain a positive attitude and do their part in keeping a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the workplace.

Compensation: 5% of individual total Parts and Labor sales with a draw against commission.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

Greet customers promptly

Obtain customer and vehicle information

Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle

Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts

Establish follow up time

Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently

Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

Very energetic personality

A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

Personal and professional integrity

Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
