Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to complete Medicaid billing, audits, and reconciliations for our Consumer Directed Personal Services (CDPS) program utilizing personal expertise and knowledge
Responsibilities include:
Process time sheet and payroll data into billable Medicaid units within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Billing system (currently using MITC & MyBilling
Transmit billing files to the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MMCOs) and eMedNY for Medicaid Fee for Service (FFS) for bi-weekly basis billing
Perform monthly reconciliations of CDPS program Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts through use of aging reports and accounting system reports
Complete periodic internal audits of records maintained in the CDPS billing files, done manually
Maintain unit statistics for assigned program areas for Agency reporting
Education & Experience
Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Medical Billing plus two years’ experience in Medical Billing (including Medicaid) preferred. Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer skills required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to independently perform billing duties. Computer skills including word processing and database management necessary
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
