We brought these two respected companies together to provide our clients with award winning expertise in HVAC and Plumbing for new construction, improvements, renovations, upfits, design-build, and installations in the commercial space.

To meet our growth goals, we are adding a HVAC Controls Technician to the team. In this role, the HVAC Controls Technician is a professional who specializes in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems. The ideal candidate will have at least two experiences in electrical wiring.

Job Duties:

Pull and run wire according to both spec plans and existing mechanical drawings, following the instructions of the foreman or superintendent on site.

Install wire according to industry construction code, ensure that all work performed will pass inspection by the county/state.

Mount and install controls devices and boxes in a variety of materials - drywall, steel sheeting, wood frame construction, ducting, unit mounted-devices, and more.

Land wiring at controls devices for final tie-in, performing the tie-in if experienced in doing the same.

Test voltage and current across installed wiring spans to ensure that the power supplied to the final termination meets the specified ohm and volt requirements.

Able to perform simple mechanical tasks to finalize wiring demands such as start-up operation of motors, dampers, etc.

Maintain accurate inventory of all assigned equipment and HVAC resources.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma, or GED.

Must have at least two years of commercial HVAC or relevant construction experience.

Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Proficient electrical diagnostic skills.

Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read schematics and work plans.

Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.

Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.

This position is a manual labor position and the ability to follow directions is needful. This position will require common sense, logical thought processes, and the ability to work in a safety conscious manner. This position requires the employee to provide their own personal hand tools and to wear all required PPE.

The physical demands will be standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and bending for long periods of time on a regular basis.

Walking and working surfaces may be rough and uneven.

This job will require a full range of body movements including, but not limited to, the use of hands, feet, arms, legs, back, and torso; the ability to push, pull, and lift.

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. Excellent eyesight, with or without correction, is necessary.

Work will be conducted under various weather conditions and temperatures such as extreme heat or cold and will be primarily outdoors. On a regular basis there will a possible exposure to the following: chemicals, dust, fumes, and other airborne particles from construction equipment; vibrations from construction equipment; typical construction noise that may exceed normal decibel levels.

Ability to speak English and Spanish is preferred.
