Senior Node.js Backend Engineer

Founded out of a 20-year old marketing solutions company, this SaaS startup champions a data quality platform that screens against fraudulent survey responses within the market research space. They are hiring for a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the backend of their cross-platform web-mobile application using Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS. Prior experience developing REST API or GraphQL services is essential. Any experience with data science projects and/or machine learning frameworks would be preferred but not required. This position if full-time, direct-hire, and fully remote.

Required Skills

6-7+ years of software development experience

Experience using Node.js and TypeScript

Experience building out REST API or GraphQL services

Experience with relational database management systems (PostgreSQL strongly preferred)

Exposure to Kafka

Exposure to AWS services

Bonus Skills

Hands-on experience with data science projects/algorithms

Experience using Machine Learning (ML) models (i.e. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)

Experience using Fastify.js and Recursive frameworks
