Business Unit Manager â Personal Care Ingredients

This is an exciting NEW role created to directly manage the Sales and NBD innovation initiatives. If youâ ve been a Sales Director or Business Unit Manager with direct experience in raw materials for the Personal Care market, then letâ s talk! High profile role supporting executive plans to broaden and expand product line offerings. You will set strategy, and guide 3 Sales Managers, and 12 more indirect reports and partner with Innovation, Finance, and Supply Chain to GROW a business!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as key member of the Personal Care senior leadership team and share responsibility for division-wide business priorities

Full P&L responsibility of the business including both short-term and long-term financial results

Establish and drive the monthly Personal Care â North America S&OP process to achieve financial, strategic, innovation and net working capital targets

Partner with Global Marketing, R&D and other functions to identify, develop, and drive key strategic initiatives to enable sustainable, profitable growth for the Personal Care â North America

Develop, update and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to increase revenues and profits. Own and lead the Personal Care â North America medium / long-term strategic agenda

Partner with global marketing and R&D to complete on-going assessment of our existing portfolio and define product innovation plant to address gaps to meet short term needs as well as develop the appropriate product portfolio aligned with the business unit strategy Personal Care â North America

Partner with global marketing and R&D to support the annual New Product introduction (NPI) FY business target process to define a FY NPI target based on product, region, customer and financial target details. Own and lead the actions to deliver on FY NPI targets for Personal Care â North America

Identify and assess potential business opportunities utilizing market research, business intelligence, competitive and scientific analysis

Collaborate and develop strong relationships with human resources, finance, and other center-led functions to ensure effective partnerships and alignment

Evaluate and ensure the organization has the competencies and structure required to implement the long-term strategy to ensure strong alignment between services and product offerings, market segments and customer-specific needs

Drive accountability for the selection and development of talent and succession within the organization to ensure an effective, sustainable model and talent pipeline

Actively engage the organization and travel locally and regionally to support the organization, collaborate with internal partners, and serve customers. Establish and maintain strong relationships with major customers

Establishing a culture of Safety and Quality throughout the business

Technical Qualifications:

BS Chemistry / Chem E / Cosmetics / Polymer with an MBA and more than 10 years of experience driving business growth in raw materials / ingredients to the Personal Care market

Directly managing NBD and driving sales, and essential business functions including P&L responsibility
