Electrical Controls Engineer

Selectek has an opportunity for a talented Controls Engineer to join a team at a thriving family-owned manufacturing company in the metro Chicago area. In this contract-to-hire opportunity, you'll use your skills and experience to breathe life into new machinery, taking projects from concept all the way to start-up and commissioning.

Note: You must be authorized to work for any employer in the USA to be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

Program new machinery using your expertise in PLC (RS Logic 5000) and HMI (Factory Talk)

Leverage your SCADA experience to integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

Fine-tune and finalize control programs through debugging.

Design and layout electrical control panels with AutoCAD Electrical

Champion the start-up and commissioning process for new machinery

Ensure adherence to critical safety standards like UL 508A.

Bonus Points if You Have:

Experience operating or programming robots.

A willingness to learn and expand your robot programming skills.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
