The CDC (Cloud and Datacenter) BU is seeking an experienced Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to work on the switching power supply development for datacenter and communication markets, leading innovation from concept to implementation.

The CDC BU mission is to define, design and manufacture leading edge monolithic Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) products in BCD technology, such us:

Integrated power stages up to 100A delivered current for multiphase SMPS for server and AI.

16V to sub-1V step down PoL with integrated Power Stage and PMBus for server, network and communication.

3.3V to 0.5V step down PoL for Optical Modules.

This Staff Engineer role will come with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania (Italy), Dublin and other worldwide locations.

The successful candidate will work closely with other cross-functional teams to define, implement and introduce products to our customers. Teams include business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, CAD/EDA, etc.

Leading medium and high complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debug, managing analog/digital teams.

Mixed-mode IC top level/block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.

Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet specifications.

Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.

Supporting other job functions like layout, application and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.

Perform hands-on evaluation of ICs in the lab.

Requirements

Master’s degree in electronic engineering and 8+ years’ experience as analog circuit designer.

Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed signal design, tools and flows.

Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, switching power supply circuits.

Deep understanding of power supply control architectures.

Knowledge of BCD process technologies.

Understanding of digital IC design.

Understanding of physical phenomena such us latch-up, HCI degradation and other reliability issues.

Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required.

Ability to take ownership of top level and subsystems and integration in mixed signal environment.

Travel to support product definition should be expected.

Good level in understanding English language both written and spoken.
