Senior Bridge Engineer

A large consulting company with offices across South Africa and internationally is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer.

This role can be based out of any of their offices in South Africa (Cape Town/Jhb/Dbn) Minimum requirements: · Minimum BEng or BSc (Civil) Engineering, MEng or MSc preferred · Professional Registration with ECSA as Engineer or Technologist (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng). · Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience in the consulting engineering industry, 20 years preferred.

· Minimum 15 years experience in structures is essential, 20 years preferred.

· Report writing and presentation skills (essential). · Proficiency in AutoCAD and Prokon.

Sofistik experience desirable.

· Experience on SANRAL projects/understanding of SANRAL procedures is essential.

Your responsibilities will include: · Bridge/structure condition assessment, design, and compilation of engineering reports · Bridge/structure asset management · Recommendations on bridge/structure rehabilitation · Project management and construction supervision of bridge projects.

· Budgetary and financial responsibility for projects · Project tendering and preparation · Project resource management · Contract Administration · Business development and Client interaction · Adherence to quality procedures and standards · Active mentoring and coaching of junior staff, · Liaison with members of the professional team including project team members.

· Technical support to construction teams to ensure successful implementation of bridge designs.

· Build, maintain and utilize a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners and represent the business unit within and outside of the company.

· Give insight that enhances commercial decision-making.

· Identify and analyses client needs and contribute to the preparation of the proposal document, which clearly defines project objectives, the associated scope, and the deliverables.

· Contribute to the digitalization and innovation of BUs service offering.
