Power BI Developer

Overview:

ERMCO is seeking a talented Full Stack Power BI Developer to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI reports and dashboards to support business requirements. Responsibilities include reverse engineer existing reports and complex SQL logic for conversion to PowerBI utilizing a MSSQL data warehouse. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions that drive business insights and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Power BI Development:

Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

Ensure reports are accurate, reliable, and meet business requirements.

Optimize report performance and usability.

Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs.

Create interactive visualizations and reports to present data effectively.

Data Modeling:

Design and implement data models to support reporting needs.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for data models.

Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights for decision-making.

Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and consistency.

Data Integration:

Integrate data from various sources into Power BI for analysis.

Develop ETL processes to automate data loading and transformation.

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with business users to gather and document reporting requirements.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports.

Address and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Best Practices:

Stay current with Power BI best practices and new features.

Implement best practices for report design, development, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

4+ years of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.

Proficiency in DAX, M, and Power Query.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and database concepts.

Experience with data visualization best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Experience with Infor LN CloudSuite ERP platform a plus
