Location: Washington D.C. Metro Area, Remote

At Andesite, we are building a product suite to supercharge cyber security analysts. As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for building technology that can analyze and enrich large volumes of data to support our product capabilities.

What You Will Do:

Design and implement robust backend solutions to handle complex data

Develop, scale, and optimize our machine learning infrastructure

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to understand needs, offer insights, and tailor data systems to meet these needs

Build our next generation of data processing and analysis systems

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in backend engineering with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++

Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong desire to protect national security interests

Currently in the Washington DC area, able to relocate, or ability for frequent travel 25% of the time

Active or recent security clearance (TS/SCI)

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in cybersecurity, especially pertaining to network or machine forensics

Experience with big data streaming technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Airflow or AWS equivalent such as EMR, Glue, Lakehouse, etc.
