Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for securing the facility and maintaining constant surveillance on the property. Under the supervision of the HR Generalist, the Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the employees, documentation of activities, caring for clients, ensuring no outside paraphernalia gets on property, and assisting with terminated employees leaving the premise. The Security Officer will also assist with front desk packages and searches, as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete new admission baggage searches.

Documentation of daily progress.

Property searches with notes.

Administering searches of client property and personnel upon arrival to facility.

Crisis interventions.

Assisting in UA’s

Monitor the needs and behaviors of clients; Interact with clients and their families/significant others as needed and document such interactions.

Continue to learn about alcohol and/or drug abuse and alcoholism and the principles of recovery.

Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings and community meetings, as assigned.

Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep of program.

Utilize principles of communicable disease prevention and control.

Recognize early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance and follow through & report it immediately.

Watch cameras daily.

Recognize individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and documents when needed in communication log and/or an Incident Report.

Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.

Follows HIPAA Regulations.

Be awake during all shifts. Sleeping is not allowed at any time.

Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry

Obtain help by calling the appropriate individuals/department/outside resource

Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers

Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures

Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques

Contribute to effort by accomplishing sober living

Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises

Provide excellent customer service

Our mobile patrol officers receive thorough, on-going on-site training, specific to the location and client needs. Daily Activity Reports (DARs) completed by our patrol officers are submitted to the client management team for review. In addition, incident reports are completed and filed at the end of shifts, if needed. Our supervisors make both regular and unscheduled site visits and are readily available to our clients.

We train our mobile patrol officers to be vigilant, to identify suspicious behavior, and to address anything out of the ordinary in order to prevent issues before they occur. Our officers remain alert and informed through constant communications with local and state authorities regarding potential threats. In addition, patrol officers are connected to our 24/7 State-Wide Command Center and are able to respond immediately and alert local law enforcement if needed.

Security Services offers a wide range of mobile patrol services, also known as roving or security patrols. We provide site-wide security for residential gated communities, commercial properties, construction sites, as well as addressing numerous other situations, such as alarm response and emergency response for natural disasters, with services that are customized to your needs.
