Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter

Job Description

The Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter works to provide general support to the Human Resources department, with a particular focus on recruiting. This role requires strong communication skills and works to support both employees and the organization. The Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter also works collaboratively with leadership to identify and fill open positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood

Create recruiting strategies utilizing a variety of resources, including job boards, schools, social media, company website and blogs, industry related sources, networking, and so forth.

Conduct phone screens and coordinate and participate in face-to-face interviews

Screen applicants and make recommendations regarding applicants’ skills and qualifications

Maintain communication with candidates throughout the interview process

Update and monitor ATS and other software to track and report key metrics

Assist with candidate background checks and some onboarding tasks

Maintain compliance regarding recruiting efforts and stays current with new trends in recruiting

Perform other HR duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Professional conduct and ability to exercise discretion with confidential information

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Analytical abilities including the ability to review data and drawing conclusions

Proficient with a computer, MS Office, and willing to learn new software

Comfortable making outbound calls to candidates and discussing opportunities

Ability to work collaboratively

Experience with NetSuite and EOS is a plus

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

1 -2 years of Human Resources or recruiting experience preferred
