Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team for the summer school program. The position entails working with students in self-contained classrooms from kindergarten to 12th grade. Multiple openings are available, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Provide direct instruction in various subjects, adapting teaching strategies to acmodate different learning styles and abilities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to assess student progress and adjust instructional plans accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Utilize assistive technology and specialized instructional materials to enhance student engagement and learning outes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with Special Education endorsement.
Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
