We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and verifying financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and providing accurate and timely financial information to management. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare or medical industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and verify financial transactions in the general ledger.

2. Ensure all financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP.

3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

4. Conduct regular ledger processes, reconciliations, and assist in monthly close processes.

5. Analyze financial reports and identify financial performance trends.

6. Prepare and submit annual budgets and financial forecasts.

7. Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and answering queries.

8. Work closely with the finance team to improve financial procedures.

9. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.

10. Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare or medical industry.

3. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and GAAP.

4. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

7. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks and priorities.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.

10. A clear understanding of medical billing and coding procedures is advantageous.
