The Role: Technical Documentation and Reports Specialist
Schneider Electric is seeking for a Technical Documentation and Reports Specialist who will be responsible for writing, publishing and distributing technical and administrative documents, including SOPs, user manuals, workbooks, reference guides, release notes, and interface documents. Maintain Documentation Department standards and follow processes throughout the software development life cycle. The Technical Documentation and Reports Specialist rolls up to the Technical Operations Director.
What will you do?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a record of all corrections and revisions to technical and administrative documentation
Collaborate and confer with stakeholders to document subject material and technical specifications
Edit documentation immediately preceding delivery
Research, propose and implement customer-specific documentation solutions
Initiate improvements in documentation
Display consistent and advanced time-management ability
Comply with and improve upon document control management processes
Standardize technical and administrative documentation
Monitor user feedback and implement documentation improvements and report them accordingly
Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information and administrative updates
Manage multiple projects with revolving deadlines
Meet all related release and documentation deadlines
Manage other technical or administrative reporting requests
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Stakeholder Management
Understand organizational changes and ability to translate what needs to be done in a strategic sequence with alignment to the appropriate stakeholders.
Act as the Single point of contact for internal and external communication on documentation changes and updates
Organize collaboration with Zone/Global Hub Stakeholders
What qualifications will make you successful?
At least One year of technical writing experience
College Degree or equivalent experience with a specific focus in English, Communications, Public Relations
Strong relationship management experience, with prior experience working collaboratively in a cross functional team.
You are ambitious, eager to learn, pragmatic and keen in problem-solving.
You focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
You are easy to work with, excellent organization sensitivity skills, and have a drive to work in a customer care service-wide, international environment.
You have outstanding social and communication skills (ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and consistently in different contexts and cultures).
Skilled in communicating complex topics and solutions and open to ideas from others.
Experienced to communicate by means of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, et al.
