Title: Restaurant Manager

Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for meeting strategic and operational goals, hiring and training staff, overseeing FOH and BOH operations, providing exceptional customer service, and providing staff with the support they need to keep the restaurant successful.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Manage day to day operations, overseeing both FOH and BOH staff.

Implement strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales.

Set daily motivational goals for staff to assist meeting sales goals.

Create and edit menus collaborating with executive chef.

Hire staff members.

Ensure staff is trained properly according to their positions.

Keep accounts and bookkeeping accurate and updated.

Forecast and maintain inventory in a cost-effective manner.

Order ingredients and equipment in correct quantities for restaurant staff.

Open and close the restaurant on time.

Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.

Comply with all OSHA mandated safety and sanitation regulations.

Provide excellent customer service and communicate personally with guests regarding their meals and service.

Handle customer complaints and problems.

Ensure staffing levels are adequate for shifts. Oversee staff schedules.

Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, or equivalent experience.

3-5+ years of management experience in the restaurant industry.

Knowledge of bookkeeping and bookkeeping software.

Ability to manage all the financial aspects of running a profitable restaurant.

Outstanding communication skills, including written and verbal.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of BOH restaurant management software and point of sale systems.

Familiarity with OSHA requirements

Knowledge of human resources for hiring and maintaining staff.

Ability to lead and motivate a team

Excellent customer service skills.

Flexible schedule and available to work 40+ hours a week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $60,000.00 per year
