Propeller is on a mission to take the guesswork out of moving dirt - reducing wasted fuel, time, and money. We do this through the power of maps.

Our customers use Propeller’s integrated hardware and software products to capture accurate 3D versions of their worksites using drones. With over 45,000 worksites worldwide using Propeller’s smart survey technology, we empower project teams to map, measure, and manage site activity.

Propeller empowers everyone to approach, own, and solve problems creatively. We’re data nerds who care about impact, honesty, and each other. We take pride in being a great place to work and are proud to be recognized as a Fast Company and BuiltIn Best Place to Work. You can learn more about us on Glassdoor.

Your Mission

As the Go-To-Market (GTM) Data Analyst, your mission is to take a data-driven approach to uncover revenue opportunities within our existing customer base and prospective customers. This will have a direct impact on Propeller’s revenue growth. You’ll use customer and platform (product) data as your compass to navigate new opportunities for driving expansion and new logo revenue. You’ll partner closely with both GTM and Product and Engineering (P&E) teams to make these happen.

By discovering, scrutinizing, and integrating GTM data into our tools, procedures, and workflows, while equipping our teams with actionable insights, you will empower us to enhance GTM and P&E efficiency. This will allow us to conduct experiments more swiftly, validate hypotheses with data, and transition from spreadsheets to a more refined revenue optimization strategy.

Your mission is not just to find and analyze data, but to translate your findings into tangible actions that drive measurable results across important strategic initiatives that affect Propeller’s future growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights:

Utilize SQL and other data analysis tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources including customer product usage, user behavior, and sales/marketing activities.

Proactively identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data to uncover revenue opportunities and drive business growth.

Collaborate cross-functionally with various GTM and P&E teams to develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings and project goals.

Data Infrastructure and Integration:

Embed GTM data back into our data warehouses and platforms, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility for a cross-functional group of stakeholders.

Work closely with our data engineers and core applications team to optimize data pipelines and implement best practices for data governance and integrity.

Evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies and propose innovative approaches to leverage data for driving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth, including new and expansion revenue.

Develop frameworks for utilizing data insights to personalize sales and marketing efforts, such as routing leads directly to the appropriate salesperson or segmenting email campaigns based on user behavior.

Continuous Learning and Development:

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in revenue operations and data analytics.

Act as a subject matter expert on data-related topics, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.

Actively participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and domain expertise.

You have a background in Construction Technology. Ideally, you possess an understanding of why civil construction, mining, landfill, and aggregate companies purchase software to map, measure, and manage their projects.

The ability to flex in your work and your mindset as priorities change and new initiatives take shape that require your ownership or involvement. You operate successfully with details and with ambiguity.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
