Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment. This includes conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for problem-solving. Primary Purpose:

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all warehouse conveyor systems and handling various maintenance tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide preventative maintenance and repair services for warehouse conveyor systems.

- Maintain all maintenance records in a professional manner.

- Effectively work with outside contractors to handle repair requests.

- Demonstrate proficiency in learning and using new software platforms related to automated conveyor systems.

- Utilize technical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

- Oversee and perform various maintenance tasks, including non-conveyor repairs and general handyman duties.

- Provide required reporting to upper management. Also, communicate all relevant matters in both written and verbal form with outside contractors and upper management.

- Adapt to a flexible work schedule to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing warehouse conveyor systems.

- Strong competency in computers and technology software relevant to automated systems.

- Technical and mechanical inclination.

- Flexibility to handle various maintenance tasks beyond conveyor systems.

- Ability to work in a flexible schedule based on operational requirements.

- Minimal travel requirement, up to 20% of time spent on travel.

Commitment to Safety and Compliance:

- Regularly inspect and maintain equipment and operating areas to ensure they meet or exceed safety standards.

- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

- Provide training and guidance to team members on safety protocols and compliance requirements.

- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and ensure all maintenance practices are aligned with these standards.

- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.

- Lead by example in following safety guidelines and encourage a proactive approach to workplace safety among all staff.

Education & Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in a related field is a plus.

- Two years of experience in a similar role, focusing on maintenance of conveyor systems and general warehouse and distribution center maintenance.

Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and supervise outside contractors as needed.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.
