Cleaning Porter

LOCATION: Rawhide Event Center/Firebird Motorsport Park

COMPENSATION: $18-$20

HOURS OF WORK: Full Time

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISORY: No

REPORTS TO: Operations/Facilities Senior Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide exceptional customer service and assisting guests as needed. Keeping properties and surrounding areas clean. Stocking and tracking restroom/ inventory supplies.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for carrying radio and porting keys; operate company vehicles/carts.

Be outgoing and interact positively with guests and fellow employees.

Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of windows, windowsills, bathrooms, storage locations, in/out of buildings, and sweeping boardwalks.

Maintain compliance with Department dress code and grooming expectations.

Explain and uphold all safety procedures and inform guests of evacuation routes.

In case of an emergency evacuate guests and insure everyone's safety

Contact management to remove disorderly, obnoxious, or sick guests from the facilities.

Empty trash cans throughout parks as needed and replacing bags at end of events. Clean bathrooms before, during, and after events.

Stocking fire pits with wood as needed, and cleaning fire pits out at end of the night.

Set-up and take down events as needed.

Open attractions, buildings, and facilities; maintain cleanliness in surrounding areas throughout shift.

Performing additional housekeeping duties as requested

Ensuring safety of guests and fellow employees

Adhere and uphold to general policies and procedures.

Setting key example to others

Shut down facilities and restrooms at end of shift as instructed by management.

Assist other members of staff as needed upon completing primary duties.

Fill out end of night paperwork and return radio to office.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Ability to obtain Tribal Permit is mandatory.

A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs is a requirement of employment.

Must acknowledge and agree to maintain a Drug-free Work Place as a condition of employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.

Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Outlook.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple/complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write internal and external correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical business situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in all formats and deal with both abstract and concrete variables.

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.

Occasionally be required to work outside.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.

Occasional local day travel.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for an entire shift/extended period. The employee occasionally is required to stand; and bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
