LOCATION: Phoenix, Pollard's Arizona Office

SCHEDULE: Primarily Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Irregular hours will be required based on workload. Overtime Ineligible.

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

We're looking for a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to join our team within our Arizona Office.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing human resource guidance to the Arizona lottery operational and distribution center teams and oversees the coordination and administration of the human resources function. Key areas of responsibility include, full cycle recruitment, data entry for all new hires, benefit enrollments, FMLA & STD processing, ensuring legal and legislative compliance is met, recruitment, training, performance management, policy creation and administration and ensuring delivery of HR administrative support.

What You'll Do

Supports management and others by providing human resources advice, counsel, decisions and recommendations; leads and maintains effective programs and procedures related to the HR discipline such as talent acquisition (internal & external), staffing, employment processing, performance management, training & development, records management, succession planning, employee relations, retention, compliance, and labor relations.

Actively supports recruitment and onboarding activities for Arizona lottery and distribution center operations.

Support the development, implementation and delivery of HR strategies, processes and programs.

Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management or related field or a combination of relevant education and experience. Master's degree an asset.

This position does require HR- related certification, such as SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) CP (Certified Professional) or SCP (Senior Certified Professional) an asset.

Minimum of five years of experience in an HR leadership role or a suitable combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Working knowledge of HRIS an asset.

Effective in delivering presentations and training to a variety of audiences.

Knowledge of federal and state legal requirements and legislation.

Knowledge of guiding principles and current trends related to Recruitment and Retention Strategies, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Job Descriptions, Competencies, Training, Employee Development, Employee Relations and Labor Relations and HR metrics.

Understands business metrics.

Troubleshooting abilities.

Effective in time management.

Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast-paced environment.

Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy.

Ability to work independently and self direct work, and in a team-oriented environment.

Aptitude to learn new computer software.

Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines.

Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
