Our client, a leading specialist in manufacturing based in Springs, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Plant Controller to join their team.

As the Financial Plant Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable financial insights and recommendations to our management team, enabling them to make proactive adjustments and drive cost efficiency across the business.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive management reports on a monthly basis, accompanied by strategic recommendations to the business management team. Your insights will be instrumental in making informed decisions to optimize costs effectively.

Define and develop reporting structures to monitor and evaluate plant performance. Your reports will be essential in assessing operational efficiency and identifying areas for improvement.

Coordinate and gather annual cost centre budgets, utilizing SAP models to calculate budgeted unit costs. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring accurate and efficient budgeting processes.

Prepare Rolling Forecasts and month estimated costs, allowing the management team to have up-to-date financial projections to base their decisions on.

Take ownership of the World Class Manufacturing Cost Deployment Pillar. This will involve actively promoting cost awareness and efficiency throughout the organization.

Monitor, manage, and provide accurate reports on Product Costing, including Standard Costs & Actual Costs. Your insights will play a vital role in supporting strategic business decisions.

Conduct cost simulations and provide unit costs for new products, empowering the product team to make well-informed pricing decisions.

Ensure the establishment of annual standard costs for all products, maintaining accuracy in financial records.

Apply cost accounting systems and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and financial regulations.

Perform cost analysis and production variance analysis to identify and address anomalies, facilitating continuous improvement and cost optimization.

Standardize costing processes and procedures to achieve operational efficiency and consistency across the organization.

Collaborate with the plant leadership team to drive compliance with business controls, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.

Participate in inventory counts and review inventory scrapping and adjustments, aiming to minimize such activities and maintain strong business controls.

Coordinate SAP CO month-end closure, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Reevaluate Finished Goods inventory to actual, providing a precise representation of our financial position.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting / Finance related field.

CIMA professional designation (non-negotiable).

Proven experience in a similar role within a plant / manufacturing environment.
