In this role, you will design and optimize data architectures, build scalable pipelines, and contribute to advanced analytics that align data systems with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and data systems

Analyze and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data

Align data processing architecture with business objectives and operational workflows

Develop and implement ETL/ELT strategies to extract value from diverse data sources

Collaborate with data scientists and data architects on end-to-end analytics projects

Conduct data profiling, quality checks, and ensure data reliability and integrity

Build and deploy algorithms and prototypes for predictive and prescriptive modeling

Evaluate and improve performance of streaming data pipelines and batch jobs

Explore and integrate new data acquisition opportunities and third-party APIs

Visualize trends and patterns through interactive dashboards and data reports

Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and ethical handling practices

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role

Solid understanding of data modeling, mining, and segmentation techniques

Proficient in SQL and database architecture (relational and NoSQL)

Hands-on experience with streaming platforms (e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark Streaming)

Strong programming skills in one or more: Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Matlab

Familiarity with data warehousing tools and cloud data platforms (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift)

Excellent analytical skills and a strong mathematical foundation

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Certification in Data Engineering (e.g. IBM Certified Data Engineer, Google Cloud, AWS) is a plus

Exceptional Skills (Nice to Have)

Expertise in real-time and streaming data processing

Experience with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Spark)

Familiarity with microservices and multi-cloud architectures

Exposure to NLP for databases, graph data management, or AI-powered query systems
