Purpose:

Manage all local staff recruitment and hiring of support staff. The Recruiting Coordinator attracts talented staff to support our mission and help improve the lives of people with disabilities. You will be responsible for the full-lifecycle recruitment of support staff for assigned region(s). You will also work with management to support local program operations. This role ensures that interviewing and hiring procedures comply with state and federal laws regarding employment practices. You will also ensure staff follow state training requirements.

As the Recruiting Coordinator, you will oversee all aspects of local staff recruitment and the hiring process for support staff. Your primary goal will be to attract skilled individuals who are passionate about our mission and dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. This includes managing the full recruitment lifecycle for support staff within designated region(s) and collaborating with management to support local program operations.

A crucial aspect of your role will involve ensuring that all interviewing and hiring procedures align with state and federal laws governing employment practices. This includes adhering to legal requirements, such as equal employment opportunity guidelines and regulations pertaining to background checks and reference verifications.

Additionally, you will be responsible for guaranteeing that staff members meet state training requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations. This will involve coordinating and monitoring the training process to ensure that staff receives the necessary training and certifications to fulfill their roles effectively.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will play a vital role in building a talented and dedicated support staff team, supporting our mission, and ensuring that our organization operates in full compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This candidate will report to the human Resources manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee recruitment and development initiatives for assigned departments.

• Manage applicant and interview data in the HRIS system and monitor applicant flow.

• Foster and maintain relationships with candidates and referrals.

• Evaluate and screen potential candidates, scheduling interviews as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with employment requirements and regulations for new hires.

• Extend employment offers to selected candidates

• Conduct thorough reference and background checks.

• Facilitate onboarding of new employees in HRIS and program technology platforms (Relias, Therap, Deputy, etc)

• Coordinate new hire training and orientation sessions.

• Maintain and audit training records to ensure adherence to state requirements.

• Supervise HRIS system workflows, including document submission and approval processes.

• Represent Community Options at community events, including job fairs.

• Support management in program operations and scheduling tasks

• Provide oversight for administrative staff, including performance evaluations if applicable.

• Collaborate and assist in audits, inspections, and investigations.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, College degree preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a recruiting or HR role

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work as a team.

• Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities.

• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agency operations.

• Competent Computer Skills, including MS Office

• Excellent time management skills.

• Internet skills including use of e-mails, group message and data.

• Valid drivers’ license with good standing

• State of PA Criminal Background check

Working Conditions:

Routine office environment. Must be able to drive an automobile/ van and have a valid driver's license. May be required to lift and/or physically support consumers independently or with other staff.
