Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Workers who are passionate about creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidates will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of Aurora Recovery Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.

- Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and address any maintenance issues.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or employees.

- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs or installations that require specialized skills.

- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

- Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols and perform their duties effectively.

- Fabricate or repair various items within the building as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff.

- Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for recordkeeping and scheduling.

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, employees, and contractors.

- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction principles.

- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues accurately.

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
