What you will be doing:
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
Monitor staff compliance with statutory deadlines, prepare/manage periodical control reports/registers.
End-to-end Accounts Receivable including issuing invoices/credit notes, allocating receipts, managing outstanding debts, reconciling GL with AR subledger.
End-to-end Accounts Payable including processing suppliers' invoices, employee reimbursements, payments, reconciling GL with AP subledger.
Liaise with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries.
Data Entry, Organization, Cross-referencing, Scanning Copying and Retrieval.
Payroll preparation and processing including other payroll related tasks.
Accurate processing and completing bank reconciliation.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and reconciliation.
Perform credit investigation, credit control of overdue payments and raising adjustment notes.
Various ad hoc duties and project work relating to the Accounts Services function as required.
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
2+ years of experience in in Australian Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications and XERO software.
You’re an excellent communicator able to give clear written and verbal communication to everyone.
You thrive on using your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to identify and solve issues before they arise.
You can work in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management and prioritization skills and sense of urgency to address critical business issues.
You can see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
