Sonangol P&P Iraq, is seeking to recruit a dynamic HR Generalist. Based in Iraq you will be reporting to the Regional HR Manager.

Essential Job Duties:

To provide HR Generalist support. To lead general HR processes such as compensation and benefits, employee relations, human resources administration, recruitment, talent development, performance management, succession planning and other functions as assigned.

- Recruitment & Onboarding– arranging interviews for potential employees, checking applicant references, issuing offer letters, maintaining employee records in the system/physical files and conducting new hire orientation.

Payroll & Compensation– Work on existing Payroll & Compensation structure including Tax & Social Security payments. Supervise the monthly timesheets & Biometrics and ensure timely disbursement of salaries. Taking exit formalities, settlements & handover of company assets.

- Performance Management – Enhance the Star performer and support with the Employee of the Month, and maintain annual performance report for the Employees

- HR Policies & procedures- Communicate, Update & employees are aware of the Company Policies & Procedures across the Company.

- Training- Assist & guide new Joiners on Induction, HSE & Employee Engagement platforms applicable across the company.

Provides support with regional HR efforts. For example, if expatriate support is required in Iraq, any on-site support.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Information System or Administration

- 5-8 years’ experience in a Human Resources Function, mandatorily within Oil and Gas

- Expertise in Advanced Excel tools for Report & Management of Information tools for Reporting

- Fluency in English & Arabic Language

- Problem Solving Skills, High level of initiative and commitment

- Very strong detail orientation, follow up and follow through skills
