Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary School education

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Tasks:

• Oversee and manage the activities of staff who prepare and serve food

• Maintain food and equipment inventories

• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

• Set up work schedules and train food service workers

• Analyzes and understands kitchen equipment malfunctions.

• Make an estimate of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.

• Conduct audits regarding food satisfaction, wastages, Sanitation and safety procedures.

• Supervise and check assembly of regular and special diet trays

• May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets

• May plan cafeteria menus.

• Maintains records and provides data for planning and control of operating budgets.
