Position available: Accounting clerk
Job requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- A college diploma/certificate in a related field, or related courses in accounting/bookkeeping is an asset.
- Previous experience as a financial or accounting clerk is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Proficient in English is required.
Main duties
-Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to account statements and other financial statements using computerized bookkeeping systems
-Enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements in a ledger or computer system
-Prepare period or cost statements or reports
-Respond to client inquiries, maintain good client relations and solve problems
-Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, monitoring emails and photocopying.
-Provide assistance to Accountant in preparation of business/financial plans and proposals, financial statements, and other required documents
Remuneration and benefits:
Wage: $22.38 per hour, 30 hours per week (permanent & full-time position)
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay
