We are currently searching for five Carpenter Helpers for Ottawa location.

Duties:

•Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

•Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites

•Mix, pour and spread material

•Assist carpenters in construction activities

•Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities

•Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials

•Clean and pile salvaged material

•Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

•Direct traffic at or near construction sites

•Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

Requirements:

No work experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Handling heavy loads, Combination of sitting, standing, kneeling, repetitive tasks, large workload, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.

Work Site Environment:

At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty

Own Tools/Equipment:

Mask, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, all taping tools

Work Setting:

Residential and Commercial

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/37.50 hours per week

Should be available to work a variable work schedule

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday

The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm
