Building Operations Technician $22hr

We are seeking a Building Operations Technician to provide a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for students, employees, and guests. You will work second shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Provide routine preventative maintenance and repair buildings, structures, and utility distribution systems

Repair, replace, and install plumbing devices and fixtures, seals, water, and drain lines and unblock plumbing fixtures and piping

General carpentry, furniture repair,

Paint and repair walls, ceilings, construct, and remove walls as directed

Assist with the maintenance of grounds

Keep detailed log of work performed and follow projects and requests to completion

Conduct event set-up and take down

Greet students, faculty staff, and guests and ensure only authorized persons gain admittance to restricted areas

Conduct surveillance of building, parking lot, and student housing complex

Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must have verifiable experience in facilities maintenance

Must have efficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Must have the ability to interact professionally with everyone

Must be organized with a proactive, position, and customer service-oriented demeanor toward resolving problems and helping all people

Must be a team player who is open to direction and training

Actively work to support colleagues and staff

Must be comfortable moving, standing, climbing, or walking for significant period of time and lifting up to 75 pounds

Must be able to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed
