Our manufacturing client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced maintenance technician with high grade electrical skills. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of complex electrical systems including PLC and PC controlled systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, mechanical systems and maintenance of high speed production equipment in a fast paced production oriented industrial environment.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Include:
• Ability to perform various plant maintenance functions to maintain the general operation of the facility.
• Contribute technical problem solving skills to maintain the factory's building, grounds, and equipment.
• Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical, electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition does not deteriorate.
• Candidates need to be able perform tasks requiring repetitive motion, repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in a production environment.
• Knowledge in process instrumentation such as heat controllers, tension control, servo drives and motors, AC/DC drives and other various types of industrial controls.
• A working knowledge of PC/PLC programs to access and configure these types of controls is required.
• Proven ability to work well with others, self-motivated, work with little or no supervision, multitask and prioritize daily.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventative and predictive maintenance, etc.
• Experience in fast paced industrial manufacturing environment.
• Perform electrical maintenance (corrective/ preventative /predictive) on any and all plant equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, controls, and components to identify hazards, defects, need for adjustment / repair / programming.
• Work well in a fast-pace environment, with attention to detail.
