Delivery Driver

Our Portland, OR Hub is currently seeking a Part-time driver to join our team!

* Must have A Passport.

BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

Job Highlights:

Availability Monday - Thursday 25-30 hrs.

Monday - Possible travel to Sacramento California. Overnight at a hotel in Sacramento Monday night. Tuesday - Drive loaded truck back to Portland. Shut down at the hotel in Portland Tuesday night. Wednesday - Deliver load in Oregon and possibly Washington. Thursday - Truck wash, inspection and maintenance. Hub cleaning.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Physically load and unload delivery truck in accordance with weight guidelines and limitations

Driving in a safe, courteous and defensive manner

Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to dispatch/ managers

Truck washes/inspections and warehouse duties to be performed anytime needed.

Requirements:

Current U.S. Passport/Passport Card is required

Possess a valid driver’s license

Experience driving cargo vans and small box trucks

Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude and willingness to work

Comfortable with smartphones - basic computer skills (email, print & scan, Word), Read maps and use GPS

Show basic knowledge of Pre and Post trip inspection of vehicles

Problem solves basic logistics issues

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, twist, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and prolonged sitting while driving

Climb in and out of box trucks repeatedly with no difficulties

Preferred Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years (Due to Insurance coverage)

Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.00 per hour
