Our client company is seeking an experienced sawmill supervisor to oversee the production of quality lumber in as safe and efficient manner as possible.

You must be willing to:

Work with all operators to verify machines are operating correctly,

address problems and/or questions

Review maintenance issues with Maintenance Supervisor, write work

orders as needed

Prepare production reports at the end of each shift

Ensures lumber from all machine centers is produced to quality

standards

Be responsible for training & certification of employees for their

job tasks

Make sure that employees follow safety procedures in order to

maintain a safe work environment

Requirements (IF YOU DON’T HAVE THESE, DON’T APPLY):

High school diploma or GED

3-4 years’ experience in the lumber mill field

Excellent computer skills

Excellent communication skills, written & oral

Have excellent time management & organizational skills

Have excellent problem-solving skills

Strong supervisory skills

Background in sawmill production

Background in maintenance

Working knowledge of sawmill equipment
