Account Manager - permanent - $75K to $100K base + bonus
Location: Primarily home-based / outside the plant but must be on-site once a week (client company is based in Whitby)

Qualifications:
* Engineering education preferred
* Sales fundamentals / techniques training
* 5 yrs+ industrial plastic and/or rubber molding environment experience in account development / sales
* Experience penetrating existing customers and prospecting / generating new customer sales
* Computer literate in Excel and CAD/CAE software
* Ability to prepare and present Technical Reports and Presentations
* Excellent command of English language both verbal and written
* Solid sales and negotiation skills
* Ability to deal promptly with customer issues
* Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently and effectively without supervision
* Drive and self-sufficiency and able to work autonomously
* Sense of urgency and accountability
* Must open to periodic on-site attendance at the production plant in Whitby for weekly sales meetings (once a week)
* valid Canadian passport (position will eventually involve travel to customers / prospective customers)
Responsibilities:
• Customer Development – documented and planned interaction with current and potential Customers to understand and address their product needs consistent with company Business Plan
• Review customer data relative to the performance of the company in the eyes of the customer and promote actions to improve customer satisfaction
• Ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely and logical manner
• Market Analysis – analyze competitors, their products and processes, size / location(s) and opportunities to provide alternative products
• Develop plans to capitalize on competitor’s weaknesses and strengths, understanding competition and other industry trends to assist in identifying product strategies
• Plan to increase market penetration and growth with a goal of minimum 10% per year with documented plans and defined achievable projections
• Develop and prepare technical and sales material in presentation form to promote new products and services to Potential Customers
• Supply proposals, quotations and prepare documentation relative to product assumptions / company standards / customer needs
• Review all supply requirements for products and identify issues related to supply contracts and obtain internal approval prior to providing customers with supply or quotation proposals
• Enter and track all orders through to completion, advising customers of any technical, commercial or delivery changes in the status of the product and/or order
• Track outstanding Customer Commercial issues and resolve them in an expedient manner
