A manufacturing company is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to fabricate, design, join, fuse, and bend steel flat stock, tube, angle, and rod to create structures for product lines. This is a first shift, full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Review orders, drawings, and prints
Recognize, set-up, and operate hand and power tools
Lay-out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Monitor the fitting and welding processes to avoid overheating
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces
Set-up and use machines related to fabrication to produce parts
Assemble components parts to final product
Access and maintain inventory needs
Perform routine machine maintenance
Visualize, design, and create futures and tooling
Perform other duties as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED; vocational or additional technical training would be ideal
Must have 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience
Must have a strong mechanical background in the welding of mild and stainless steel
Must have Mig and Tig Welding and Oxy-Acetylene Torch experience
Must have knowledge of welding techniques of different metals, gauges, and shapes with water-tight welding ability
Must have the ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Must be able to accurately read measuring instruments and safety use basic hand and power tools
Must have the ability to identify problems or difficulties and find solutions
Must have a strong work ethic with no attendance issues
