Construction Helper

MODERN CITY HOMES LTD. Located at 7754 147 street, Surrey, BC, V3S 5M4 is currently looking for 4 CONSTUCTION HELPERS to join their team as soon as possible

Full-time Permanent positions at $22/ Hour for 40 hours per week with coverage of medical insurance for first three month and relocation expenses, if required. Various work locations as per company’s contracts. Knowledge of basic English is required. No particular education is required for this position but some experience in construction will be an asset. Training will be provided.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Large Workload, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.

Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold.

Job Duties:

Load, unload and transport construction material.

Select tools, equipment and material from storage and transport items to work site.

Prepare construction sites, assemble or dissemble temporary structures, barricades and scaffoldings.

Mix, pour and spread material such as concrete and asphalt.

Assist tradespersons such as painters, plumbers, carpenters, drywall installers and construction supervisors in construction activities.

Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.

Deliver or hold materials or tools to tradespersons while working on heights.

Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
