Introduction:

Inviting CV from right candidates for the post of General Manager to be the head of a College Administrative Team (CAT) for a reputed Institute specialised in Design & Technology. Position is located in Yerevan City, Armenia, Eastern Europe.

Purpose of the post:

The main purpose of this post is to steer the organisation towards growth and success and to work hand in hand with the College Principal (Head Of Institution) in developing, coordinating and implementing the College strategies. To ensure effective management and smooth operation of the day-to-day activities of the College. Facilitate, coordinate, plan and deploy resources for the progress and growth of the College. Act as focal point for liaison with Teaching and non-Teaching staff and disseminate information effectively across the college. Manage the complete administration of the office staff and also the marketing team.

Job Description:

The General Manager is responsible for handling the following major activities:

•Develop and execute a long-term plan for the growth of the organisation

•Liaising with various stakeholders such as, Central/State Governments, foreign universities, other private and corporate sectors or any other organizations or individuals for the development and well-being of the organization

•Organise the weekly meetings with all Teaching & Non-Teaching staff to analyze their performance and report the weekly progress to CEO

•Assess the needs of various departments and disseminate information through various channels and methods

•Organise marketing events through digital and social media promotions

•Work with the faculty members to design and develop curriculum and Internship

•Constantly monitor performance of the Marketing team and implement strategies to improve performance and achieve the targets assigned

•Lead the annual planning activities covering revenues, expenses, manpower requirements and infrastructure requirements including procurement plan for technology, facilities and programme materials

•Monitor day to day activities of all the departments and report to the CEO

•Any other job assigned time to time by the CEO or HOI

•GM Post directly report to the CEO of the organisation

Essential requirements to apply for this post:

•Doctorate (Phd/DBA) or a Master Degree in Business Administration

•Any Nationality with a Minimum 5 years of experience as General Manager or Sales/Marketing/HR Manager in a reputed organisation, experience in the field of education or relevant industry will be an added advantage

•Strong intellectual and analytical skills

•Proven track record and exposure in management

•Experience of contributing to the set-up and management of budgets and

financial planning, including planning of resource allocation, and income maximisation

•Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

•High degree of tact and diplomacy

•High level of English fluency, Digital literacy and Internet skills

•Detailed understanding of all the departments of an educational Institution will be an added advantage

•The ability to motivate staff and work as part of a team

•Excellent organisational skills

•Able to deal positively and constructively with industry challenges

•Age: Minimum 30 and Maximum 50 years as on the date of applying

Desirable characteristics for this Post:

•Experience of working in higher education Institutes/College or University

•Experience in using college systems and software

•An interest and enthusiasm for contemporary Art, Design or Technology

•Innovative and flexible approach to work

SALARY & PERKS:

•Monthly salary - working for 45 hours, 5 days per week is 1200 Euro

•15 days annual leave plus extended breaks during Christmas and Easter Holidays

•Armenia Work Permit & Family status residence visa provided by employer
