Phoenix House of NY & Long Island is looking for a Recovery Support Specialist, CASAC-T to work in our Ronkonkoma facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

·Recovery Support Specialist, CASAC-T coordinates and facilitates all scheduled nighttime activities (i.e. fire drill, evacuation, etc.), Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings, as needed and prescribed by regulatory mandates.

·Recovery Support Specialist, CASAC-T completes room-to-room headcounts three times each night, conducts routine facility checks to ensure facility safety and security, oversees patient medication self-administration and medication counts on shift change

·Recovery Support Specialist, CASAC-T maintains accurate documentation in staff log, incident reports, facility forms, and/or other reports in a timely manner in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.

·Recovery Support Specialist, CASAC-T participates and facilitates the occurrence of shift change. Ensures that all occurrences/incidents are documented appropriately, facility and cabinets are secure, supplies are stocked for next shift, and that all keys and other property are accounted.


· High School diploma or equivalent required


· Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor – Trainee (CASAC-T) in good standing
