The role will be responsible for contributing to the development of our Sales team in various ways:
• Market Research (preparation of strategy documentation)
• Identifying potential trends and best practices within the industry
• Finding leads, qualify opportunities, close deals (with our assistance) with the client or write a proposal for tender RFP
• CRM utilisation and improvement
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, stakeholders and business partners
Skills and competencies
The ideal candidate should be ambitious, self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and friendly with high energy, a willingness to learn and be creative; a background in sales is an advantage. Due to the current restrictions; you’d be required to work remotely possibility through the end of the year. In order to do so, you’ll need a PC or Laptop; a quiet and practical working environment (no noise or distractions); and good internet connections. We'll provide you with an intense 5 day course to give you all the skills you need to excel in this role and others like it. We’ll also provide you an MS Office Package along with free perks (Amazon voucher).
What will you be able to do after your six-month placement at BlackSwan? Not only will you have on the job experience as a great Sales Associate (Researcher), you will gain industry knowledge and will have been taught the following skills to help you go on to get a new job once the placement is over. We will also teach you how to communicate effectively, across multiple channels, with colleagues across the business, stakeholders and clients alike. You will know how to use some great software tools.
We commit to every trainee that the ultimate aim is to train them to a level where they would become more employable at the end of the scheme. From your very first day at BlackSwan and throughout your six-month placement we will teach you the skills to go on to find a great new job. On day one; we will show you how to create your LinkedIn profile and when you are ready to start applying for your new role, we will check your CV that we have helped you write.
Throughout your six months with us, you will also be fully trained on a number of industry practices, completing the following courses on e-Learning platforms! How long will your training take? The training will be sectioned off in to bite size chunks whilst you are also learning on the job skills to help you have a successful career moving forward.
You can expect to learn something new every week you are with us! Overall, your job seekers training will take around 3-5 hours plus another 10 - 15 hours training on the industry and how to effectively do your job. In all of your one to ones you will have the opportunity to feedback on how you feel the scheme is going and if needed we will make adjustments to help support you even more, whether that be additional training or mentoring, we will be there for you.
