MUST HAVE:

TS/SCI with Polygraph (no exceptions, but full scope preferred, CI possible)

Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering or a related technical field.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering or related technical field.

Active Department of Defense TS/ SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance.

DevOps Engineering skills.

Back End Software Engineering skills.

Imaging meta data and full motion video experience

NICE TO HAVE:

Master's Degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Replacing a departing team member.

Secure customer location in Tyson’s Corner. Must be onsite, no remote work possible.

Senior Software engineer, site is active 24/7 site, but they can work normal business hours (with the exception of emergencies)

MAAS experience – proprietary GDMS product

Comp target: $170k-180k target (Full Scope Polygraph could be slightly higher) – Market rate, limited flexibility

Relocation assistance for an exceptional candidate may be negotiable, however, local is highly preferred.

The perfect candidate for this role would be a strong software engineering professional with excellent understanding and expertise in working with both DevOps engineering and Back End software engineering skills. Our client highly prefers someone with experience software development processes, such as SAFe Agile as well as software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; agile experience preferred.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Codes, tests, integrates and documents software solutions

Performs duties across the software development life-cycle: concept, design, architecture, user experience, development, test, installation, operation and maintenance

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into a software architecture that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Applies and champions standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle

Receives no appreciable instruction on day-to-day work; more often responsible to define the scope, schedule and expectations for the work; assignments may be self-initiated

Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments for self and teams

Accountable to lead and manage the completion of major programs and projects

Identifies and leads the execution of risk mitigation strategies
