Evaluate, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. Utilize a variety of specialized qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to analyze and diagnose the nature and extent of speech, language and other impairments. Treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing disorders in students of all levels, from kindergarten through high school, creating and utilizing individualized plans with both short-term and long-term goals established for each individual's needs. Select and teach alternative augmentative communication systems (AAC) to specific disorders and provide therapy to students with learning disabilities. Collaborate as necessary with co-treating professionals including clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, pediatricians, physical therapists, occupational therapists and dental professionals to provide a holistic solution to patients disorders. Participate in meetings regarding students progress, such as individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings. Write reports including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients and maintain proper documentation of information, such as client attendance and billing records or caseload activities.
Will be assigned to educational institutions and school districts throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, CA, which contract with Galaxy Speech Care, LLC for the provision of Speech-Language Pathologist services. No travel outside those counties is contemplated.
At least 2 years' experience as Speech-Language Pathologist or related.
Must have a valid California Speech-Pathologist License.
At least a Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related discipline
