Description :

Conducts interviews and workshops with key stakeholders from business and technology functions. Understand the technical landscape that includes current as well as desired future state.

Assess the current state architecture & understand current business processes for managing master data within the Organization.

Assess the functional and non-functional requirements of desired future state MDM solution.

Prepare the to-be architecture that includes data ingestion, data quality rules, data model, match/merge, workflows, UI, batch integration and real-time services.

Bring in best practices on MDM Implementation from similar case studies to help educate and socialize across different stakeholders.

Work with technical stakeholders to help finalize MDM tool functional alignment based on the business requirements.

Work in cohesion with functional consultant and other data management strategists to frame the phased approach for the MDM strategy and bake that into roadmap and detailed implementation plan.

Help evangelize and socialize change in business processes across stakeholders once MDM is realized in future state.

Provide inputs to define a high level implementation strategy including infrastructure sizing, quality/testing certification strategy, integration strategy.

Work closely with enterprise architects to get the proposed future state MDM architecture signed off.

Help with onboarding of new sources and corresponding data mapping, data quality issues and integrations.

Understand and translate Business requirements into data models.

Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy

Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.

Understanding of Entity Relationship diagrams and Data dictionaries of different source systems. Come up with transformation and mapping rules across different entities.
